Earth day Events will Begin on Monday April 7th and then April 21st and Continue all Week Until the Big Event on Saturday April 27th!

Mayor Garrett encourages residents to re-engage with our environment this Earth Day season, commenting, "Hamden is moving forward with more sustainable practices including reducing energy use, reducing our trash, and engaging the community in a town wide effort towards a more sustainable environment." 

An active earth day committee that includes the Mayor's Office, Hamden Public Library, Public Works, Town Commission representatives and Hamden citizens is helping to lessen the "footprint" of the earth day event itself, while developing new engaging activities for residents.
